Lean Start Up Tool Box – Why we use SnapEngage

Once a week on the blog we want to step back from the food-related technology industry and reflect on the tools we are using everyday to help us stay lean. (Lean start-up that is, maybe we will dedicate another post to fitness-related technology)

One of the tools we are loving is SnapEngage. We first learned about SnapEngage from the AppSumo lean start-up bundle.

So how does it work?

See that “help” button over on the left side of our site? (the green button, got it?) Try clicking on it, you get a box that looks like this:

From there, anyone visiting our site can immediately ask questions via email or chat. We have the chat hooked up to notify one of us on Google Chat (if we are not asleep, we are on Google chat).  When a visitor chats with us, we get a new chat in Google Chat and can instantly communicate and help the new user. After the conversation the whole team gets an email summarizing the interaction.

All this from one line of code we added to the site. Really, really easy.

The SnapEngage feature I like best though is on the homepage of our site.  Visit the tapviva homepage and after 15 seconds a chat pops up asking if we can help with anything – ignore it – or take the opportunity to ask any questions. Great way to engage with our potential customers.

Customers can even call us through through SnapEngage – we hooked it up to our company phone line.
